Meet the Teachers - Kathy Randolph

KATHY RANDOLPH, C-IAYT

Kathy has been teaching yoga since 1997; certified since 1999 with Yoga for the Special Child®, a comprehensive program of yoga techniques designed to enhance the natural development of children with special needs; and is an AYT-Certified Yoga Therapist. 

Kathy completed Hatha Yoga Teacher training at the Satchidananda School of Yoga in 2004. Hatha Yoga include asanas (poses), pranayama (energy control through breath techniques) and vinyasa (a flowing series of postures linked by breath) to bring the body, breath and mind into balance in preparation for meditation.

In addition to classes for children and adults at her home studio - The Yoga Center in Reno, Nevada, Kathy also works with clients throughout Northern Nevada and California, and offers the Yoga for the Special Child® Basic 1 Program Teacher Training and continuing education training for Yoga for Scleroderma.

Kathy is a karma yogi. She seeks to be an instrument through whom God works, not just doing selfless service without personal motive or attachment to the outcome, but to forget that she is the worker, remembering only that God does the work.(1) When she is blessed by having work placed in front of her, She says “Yes”. 

She said “Yes” to a woman she had never met, to do work she had never done, and all these years later this work continues, blessing her still.

And that's how it all began.
